How to maximise your annual leave in 2024
A roundup of the hilarious parenting content from the week, guaranteed to make you smile, if not laugh out loud. Plus the odd helpful tip.
Happy Saturday Dads!
Anyone else not realise having kids meant saying words like “teat” an inordinate amount of times. There’s nothing like having to say “sippy cup” in front of your friends who don’t have kids to make you realise how different your life has become.

As always, if you enjoyed this week’s edition and think you might know someone else who would, please do share. We know how tough being a parent can be, and sometimes you just need a moment to laugh at some of the craziness.

Hungry Hippos IRL is a game changer for Christmas
🔢 It’s all in the numbers
Obviously, we all endure love our kids right, but whether it’s sleepless nights with a teething baby or being woken by a “thud” as your toddler once again falls out of their bed, parenting can often feel like a marathon without a finish line.
The good news is, for those with under-5s it sounds like easier times are ahead. It’s widely believed that children reach their “most fun” at 5 years old.
Whilst “fun” might not mean you’ll be setting up their Fantasy Football team anytime soon, does that matter? As long as we can finally get rid of the travel cot, feeding bottles and sterilising kit, sign us up!
That being said, if your kid is anything like this one then you’ve probably already found yourself a new best friend to settle down in front of City vs. Liverpool with this afternoon.
🙏 They will thank you

We will strive to keep these as simple as possible, but if they’re still out of your reach from a technical perspective, stick with the fish fingers and beans; no judgement from us!

Upcoming dates that it might be worth having up your sleeve:
National Tree Week | 26-4th Dec; get your kids to pick a favourite tree in the park, or if your school has space see if you can have them plant their own tree.
Advent | 3-24th Dec; whilst not necessarily this upcoming week, it can’t hurt to get prepared and win over your kids with the chocolatiest calendar you can find.
That’s it for this week folks.
Thanks again for reading, as always we leave you with one HILARIOUS joke to share with the family.
